Big Give Recipients

As of February 2024, giving circle members and friends have donated $171,140 to area nonprofits and we've secured an additional $40,685 from our foundation partner, for a total impact of $211,825!

 

In February 2019, Isaiah 117 House was the recipient of $10,225 in donations from our members! Holston Habitat for Humanity and Door of Hope also both received $1,000 from members.

 

In May 2019, Seasons of Hope was the recipient of $11,305 in donations from our members! Appalachia Service Project and Honor Flight of Northeast TN presented as well.

In August 2019, Levi’s Legacy was the recipient of $10,719 in donations from our members! Appalachian Sustainable Development and Friends of Suzanne also presented.

In November 2019, H.O.P.E. (Help Our Potential Evolve) was selected as the recipient of our 4th Big Give; they received $11,189. Brother's Keeper and The Oasis of Kingsport also presented.

In February 2020, Cherished Mom was the recipient of $10,250 in donations from our members! Adaptoplay and Children's Advocacy Center of Sullivan County also presented. 

In April/May 2020, we held a special Big Give. Due to COVID-19, we suspended our usual rules and members voted via email for a local charity that provides food for those in need. One Acre Cafe was selected and received $10,151 from our members and friends! Second Harvest Food Bank of NE TN and The Salvation Army were the other options. 

In August 2020, The Shepherd's Inn (a domestic violence safe house in Carter County, TN) was selected for our virtual 7th Big Give; they received approximately $11,160 from our members! Good Samaritan Ministries and Young Life Upper East Tennessee also presented.

In November 2020, Branch House - Sullivan County Justice Center was the recipient of $10,625 from our members for our virtual 8th Big Give! Alzheimer's Association - TN Chapter and Somebody Loves Me also presented. 

In February 2021, A Step Ahead received $10,971 for our virtual 9th Big Give! Appalachian Literacy Initiative was the runner up and received $5,000 from our foundation partner. Langston Education & Arts Development (LEAD) also presented.

In May 2021, Families Free received $10,123 for our virtual 10th Big Give! They also received an additional $5,000 from our foundation partner. Coalition for Kids and Wynnwood Wildlife Rehabilitation also presented. 

In August 2021, The River received $10,450 for our virtual 11th Big Give! They also received an additional $5,000 from our foundation partner. The Kingsport Ballet and Washington County / Johnson City Animal Shelter also presented. 

In November 2021, Kids Like Us Community Center received $10,459 for our virtual 12th Big Give! They also received an additional $5,000 from our foundation partner. JEB Foundation: Advocates for the Elderly and CASA of Northeast Tennessee also presented.

In May 2022, Crossroads Medical Mission received $10,310 at our in-person 13th Big Give. They also received an additional $5,000 from our foundation partner. Operation Johnson Kitty and Recovery Soldiers Ministries also presented.

In August 2022, Huschka House received $10,034 at our final in-person event, our 14th Big Give. They also received an additional $5,000 from our foundation partner. The Kingsport Ballet and Meredith Haga Foundation also presented.

In February 2023, Bristol Faith in Action received $8,540 from our simplified online 15th Big Give event. They also received $4,270 from our foundation partner.

In May 2023, Coalition for Home Repair received $5,258 from our simplified online 16th Big Give event. They also received $2,629 from our foundation partner. 

In September 2023, Kari's Heart Foundation received $7,371 from our simplified online 17th Big Give event. They also received $3,685 from our foundation partner.
